February 16 – Club Valentine Road Trip to Wiederkehr Wine Cellar,
Altus, AR – Mary & Phil Davis are planning a cruise to the Wiederkehr Winery
to enjoy a Swiss lunch and tour of the winery, with wine tasting at the end for
those who wish to partake. The cruise will take the winding back roads to
Altus, so we can enjoy the driving. On the way back we can cruise the back
roads again or take the freeway, your choice. The plan is to enjoy the cruise up
and arrive in time to have lunch in the Winekeller Restaurant. The Winekeller
is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and for years has been voted
the “Most Romantic” restaurant by readers of the Arkansas Times. The menu
consists of items from the German, French and Italian areas of Switzerland. This
should be a blast and is just one of the cruises that will be planned and
scheduled for each month this year. Come enjoy a Corvette Valentine Cruise.
The meeting time and place will be announced later.

Those going on this cruise everybody will be meeting at HWY 10 in the Kroger parking lot, 8:30am

Hope we will need to up the reservations, this should be a fun run. Phil & Mary have mapped out the route to Altus. The plan is to meet at Kroger's in Little Rock on Highway 10 at 8:30 am. We will go Highway 10 to Booneville and then Highway 23 North to Ozark, then on to Altus from there. It should take about 2.5 hours to get to the Winery, so we should be there about 11:00 am. That will give us time to take the tour and then have lunch in the Winekeller Restaurant at 12:30 pm.

The trip back can be the reverse of the route up our you can hit the freeway.
